May 6 – 12 is National Nurses Week, a time to celebrate the nurses who advance the health and safety of our communities.
Every year, National Nurses Week takes place during the week of Florence Nightingale’s birthday to celebrate the health care professionals who embody Nightingale’s tireless efforts to better patients’ lives.
Texas’ teaching hospitals are among the largest employers of nurses in the state and are nursing schools’ partners in educating and graduating bedside-ready nurses to care for Texans.
As teaching hospitals’ advocacy organization, Teaching Hospitals of Texas supports investments in clinical training, retention, transition to practice, and workplace safety to grow Texas’ nurse workforce.
